HAMPSTEAD
LIVING ROOM NW3

Studio Sidika designed this living room in keeping with the original period architectural features of the room, namely the fireplace and the Art Deco ceiling. The clients, a lovely couple who are both music aficionados, requested that the room had a piano, a high quality sounds system, a hidden TV, a dog-proof rug and window treatment that would frame the beautiful views over Hampstead Heath.

We placed decorative plaster coving with integrated LED strip lighting to light the striking Art Deco ceiling. The two Groundpiece sofas from Flexform help to achieve balance in the room. We placed a large rug that not only adds texture and a bit of jazziness but is made from recycled PVC woven rugs. We picked the blue colour in the rug and made one of the coffee tables from Swedese in that same bespoke blue colour. We created this gallery wall around the Samsung Frame TV to hide the TV. The 1950’s iconic solid oak side board by Mogen Koch for Carl Hansen doubles up as a TV unit.
